Discuss the impact of gender inequality worldwide. Why do economic issues seem to work against the creation of egalitarianism between men and women?
Discuss how the recent impact of homeland security and the creation of the Patriot Act will likely affect stratification in Mexico.
Around the world, different groups are marginalized and discriminated against, however, the discrimination against women is universal. Thus the impact of gender inequality is worldwide. Thus the gender inequality is; holding back billions of women from achieving their full potential, asserting their right to live full, healthy lives, this is having an impact on the global economy too as the women are not gainfully employed to their maximum potential and are unhealthy leading to economic burden on society. The economic issues seem to work against the creation of egalitarianism between men and women as according to Max Weber; the world is governed by money power and the rich influence the politics of a contrary.
The recent impact of homeland security and the creation of the Patriot Act will likely affect stratification in Mexico as the consequent militarization of the border led to a reduction in the rates of out-migration rather than inhibiting in-migration. This has led to a sharp rise in net undocumented population. As a result, a majority of the Mexican, American immigrants are presently undocumented. They are subject to increasing sanctions from authorities and the public, yielding downward pressure on the status and well-being. Thus leads exploitation of the labors and generation of an economic gap between the rich and poor Mexicans i.e. the stratification.
