The world is chaning in a phase that has never been witnessed before in terms of technology, life style, global labour mobilisation, transportation etc. one notable change this world is still witnessing is the freedom, equality, social status the women are achieving. There are lots women who have broken all their barriers and come up and shone as stars and they still do.

Traces in History

When the human race evolved they were hunters and never stayed at one place for long time, even during the climatic changes. Most of the time it was difficult for the women to migrate for various reasons and the men kept moving although the women were equally strong in the ancient world. Women were considered as child bearing machines and the nature was given female names but in reality women were not treated as equals.

During the Middle ages Only women from high class families were provided with few benefits but their role never changed as the child bearing machinne even in the royal families. Few exceptions are the queens from different countries, such as Queen Elizebeth who initiated the colonization.

Voting was permitted only in 1918 in the Uk and 1920 in the US, the so called developed nations. Virginia Woolf, the famous American writer brought out the inequality in her famous essay ' the room of one's own'. The recent radical societal change happened in Saudi Arabia where women were allowed to drive and allowed inside the sports stadiums along with men.

Now the scenario has changed entirely even in developing countries in terms of economical independancy, Social status and indivduality. There are plenty of women who have came out of the the thought of just being married and live a normal life. The marriage constitution was very strong until recently which is looked rediculously with the increasing number of divorces because women if they have the financila independency don't want to live a life that they don't enjoy. In some families men share the household works which was allotted only for women once. Now a days women are working and taking care of the family, so they have become very strong both physically and mentally.

It's not that women are gaining their lost freedom but they are gaining it because of the change in the minds of the men and in the societal rules that women should be treated as equals. Women are everywhere, in politics, in sports, in science, in space exploration, in military, in education, in top companies as top officers etc. So the change in the society has definitely benefitted the women at large but it should happen in all the countries only then the world will have a balance.
