why education is important for poverity and gender inequality.
Education is very important for (removal) of poverty and gender inequality. Education leads to creation of a huge base of skilled workers who are knowledgeable and have the ability to adapt themselves to latest technological improvements.
It automatically leads to a reduction in the vast and deep rooted gender inequalities that are existing in the system since both the genders are now equally skilled and have every right to equal access of opportunities to improve their productivity and there by their income levels
Education increases labour efficiency. This is more seen when with the increase of the health facilities the physical capacity of the workers increases and they are no longer weak or inefficient. Moreover the women population in particular enjoy the benefits , with the introduction of medical schemes for example like maternity benefits which enables them to regain their physical capability and return to their work places with ease.
Education leads to changes in the social attitudes and values. People are able to think on broader terms and are willing to overcome the obstacles of the modern society. This increase in the mindset leads to an improvement in the gender equality and the society is able to adapt itself to a more equitable or ‘equal opportunities for all ‘approach.
Governments across the globe are actively promoting education. In case of under developed countries, improvement of ‘girl child education’ is aimed at by the governments. This leads to the creation of a more balances society where the gender bias or inequality is gradually removed.
