Discuss the relation of the Dimensions of Wellness and osteoporosis
Firstly, know the dimensions of wellness and osteoporosis.
There are total 8 dimensions of wellness- Emotional , environmental, financial, carrier or occupational, intellectual, physical , social ,spiritual . Now these dimensions are directly or indirectly related to osteoporosis.
OSTEOPOROSIS- is disease of bone which makes the bone weaker and more fragile. Two types are present - senile( due to age related), postmenopausal ( occurs only in females, due to the after period of menopause). Females are more affected then male. Osteoporosis involved bone shows fewer trabeculae, cortical bone thinning and also extension of haversian canal.
RELATION BETWEEN DIMENSIONS OF WELLNESS AND OSTEOPOROSIS
1) physically active and exercise-- physically active keep the bones strong and the bone become less vulnerable to osteoporosis. Any kind of physical activity like walking, running , cycling, playing, doing yoga atleast daily for 30 minutes is helpful.There is the connection between physical dimension and osteoporosis.
2) Doing Meditations -- doing meditation has shown that it is helpful to reduce stress and anxiety. It keeps the positive emotion, develop concentration which is indirectly reduced the stress caused due to osteoporosis. So, osteoporosis is connected with emotional dimension.
3) Enjoy the environment-- walking or morning or evening walk keep your mind fresh also keep a emotional bonding with nature. During morning or evening time the air is present purified most in comparison to other time period of the day.
4) Don't do heavy work- avoid those heavy work which stress the bone . Because it can worsen the bone more.
5) Make a support system with your family , friends, professional advice person . As stress is dangerous during osteoporosis. If there is any stress created in your mind, consultation wirh support system can reduce the stress. The female are become more osteoporosis affected because after menopause the women feels a emotional disturbance at that time the emotional support should be given and if not done then their health , well ness drastically decreased day by day.
6) Adding more calcium, magnesium, antioxidants, omega3 fatty acid containing food in your meal. As they are beneficial in controlling osteoporosis. Also keeping these habits the carrier or occupational, financial wellness is necessary Beacuse without it you can't afford you daily desires. The decrease in carrier and financial wellness directly affects the health also the education which both are necessary.
