1. Parenting styles have the following effects on child's later development.
Authoritarian parenting - This parenting style has strict parents and children are expected to follow strict rules set by them. Any deviation, attracts punishment. They have high expectations from their children, yet are very responsive and supportive. This parenting style makes their children grow into low self-esteem adults. They are proficient, well-mannered but are very unhappy and lack social skills.
Authoritative parenting - In this style, parents are responsive and supportive to their children. They guide their children to the desired behaviour, through warmth, feedback and love. This type of parenting results in happy, successful adults.
Permissive parenting - The parents are very less involved in the development, behaviour and growth of their children. They do not have any expectations towards them and are very lenient in their role. This type of parenting results in adults who lack self-regulation, happiness and experience problems with authority.
Uninvolved parenting - It is neglectful parenting. They have low expectations, very little communication, provide zero support and remain detached from their children. This type of parenting leads to very poor functioning adults, who perform poorly in all walks of life.
