the permissive, Authoritarian Parenting, Authoritative Parenting, and, Neglectful Parenting
Diana Baumrind described four types of parenting styles: Authoritarian Parenting, Authoritative Parenting, and, Neglectful Parenting.
Authoritarian parenting: The authoritatrian parenting styles is a very rigid style, characterized by high behavioral standards, strict punishment and poor communication between parents and children.
Permissive parenting: This appraoch of parenting characterized by giving in to the demands of the child to the etent of spoiling them. These children often lack dicipline and delf control.
Authoritative Parenting: This the best and most effective parenting style, whcih is characterized by nurturance, love, affection towards the child, but at the same time instilling vlues and dicipline in them.
Neglectfull parenting: In this style of parenting, the parents do not provide any affection towards the child and are neglectfull. These children may grow up to be anti social.
