How do the immunoglobulins “cooperate” with complement to clear a pathogen
Immunoglobulin : are nothing but antibodies. they are glycoprotein molecule produced by plasma cells ( WBC) and they are helping to bind antigen.
Pathogen: are micro organism responsible for diseases examples : virus , bacteria, other micro organisms.
The compliment system is nothing but the complimentary to the antibody response of the adaptive immune system. for example : compliment system protein.
The copliment system protein produced by liver and macrophages present in the blood stream , these are capable of immediate response to infecting pathogens.
The innane immune system is nothing but the in born immunity to the body is serve as a first responder to pathogenic threats that bypass natural physical and chemical barriers of the body using a combination of cellular and molecular attack , the innate immune system identifies the nature of pathogen and respond with inflammation.
Aproximately 20 types of soluble protein helps to destroy extracellular pathogen. The protein present in blood serum capable of responding immediately to infecting pathogens.
phagocytosis is a process where a cell engulf a foreign particle. A pathogen is marked for ingestion and destruction by a phagocyte this process is called as opsonization.
