Answer: Due to this pandemic, the number of patients infected through this disease has been increasing day by day. The nurse and the other health care professionals work at front line to provide better care and proper treatment to the patients. Although they are at high risk of developing disease because it is an airborne disease. The communication plays major role in establishing the trust, understanding the situation of the patients as well as providing counseling to them. This reduces stress and mental exhaustion among patients. But this infectious disease has become barrier in communications. As it is one of infectious disease and can be easily transmitted from one person to another, the nurse are unable to interact with the patients. They are unable to provide better counseling and empathy to the patients.

Nurse can indulge themselves in providing instructions to the patients with the help of the gestures to show empathy. The nurse need to understand the situation and try to make the patients feel comfortable. With the help of the small gestures and proper attention that can be given to the patients may reduce the disparities.
