Cardiovascular disease:
Diet that contains saturated fats and trans fat often increase the blood cholesterol level.A food high in sodium content leads to hypertension. Intake of too much fatty foods leads to an increased level of lipids in the blood stream that in turn artherosclerosis with high blood pressure and heart attacks. Too much of lipids in the blood leads to artherosclerosis that leads to blockage of the arteries due to accumulation of lipids in the walls of the arteries.At times lesions are formed in the arteries by accumulation of lipoproteins.This leads to high blood pressure and heart attacks.Low density lipoproteins (LDL) are major contributors of heart diseases.

A. Gender - Males are always at greater risk than females
B. Having a family history of heart disease
C. Post-production menopausal - females after menopause are at risk of heart disease
D. Age - the risk of heart disease increases as older as you get.
