From a cardiovascular stability/blood pressure control perspective, would it be more beneficial to have an athlete stand still or to continue walking slowly during recovery from a maximal 400 meter run? Why?
Yes.For an athlete who crosses 400 meters runs ,they have to stand or continue to walk slowly to regulate the blood pressure or cardiovascular stability.
Reason:
For athlete who completes the 400 m run they have to start to walk slowly. If you stop abruptly after a race, you body will rebel and the cramping potential increases dramatically. The goal of this is to lower your heart rate to its resting state and gets metabolic waste out of your body by facilitating movement in your lymphatic system and blood flow.
