Ans) Stress- Stress is a state produced by a change in the environment that is perceived aschallenging, threatening, or damaging to a person's dynamic balance or equilibrium.
Coping refers to efforts to manage stress.
Coping strategies : Adaptation or maladaptation
Adaptive coping strategies:
Adaptation is defined as the action or process of adapting or being adapted.
It means that they will adjust to whatever the situation may be.
Maladaptive coping strategies:
Maladaptation is defined as a trait that is (or has become) more harmful than helpful, in contrast with an adaptation, which is more helpful than harmful.
Maladaptation coping strategies means they will have a hard time excepting anything that is needed in treatment.
