In today's time individual faces lot of difficult situations in life where he or she feels stressed and which causes lot of I'll effects on mental as well as physical health.

Coping is described as thoughts or actions we use to deal with threatening or stressful situations.

Coping strategies level 1

1.emotionfocussed strategies -

Trying to change ones perception about stressors

Using mature defense mechanisms in form of humor, supression, rationalisation

2. Problem focussed strategies- taking with the stressor itself.anlysing the stressful event trying to nullify or passify the situation or seeking advise to deal with the difficult situations.

Level 2 - cognitive reappraisal - includes reframing ones thoughts from negative to positive thoughts which in turn helps to change our feelings from negative to positive ones and individual feels good and comfortable even in stress.

- also includes creation of positive attitude

Level 3 - Developing reselience - resilience helps an individual to face the stress with courage and be hopeful for a better result and solving problems that they face. , Development of resilience helps in being open to new views and experience s which in turn help individual to be better adapted to surroundings, and adjustibility improves.

If all people involved in a family do focussed on these coping strategies it would become easier to deal with family stressors. I myself use the above coping startegies very often. They are extremely effective to deal with stress provided they are used and applied well.

Level differ in the timings they can be used and also differ in the ways that they can be applied ,the complex nature of the problem or stress will change the level of coping skills. The timing these skills are used in my opinion also matter but all applied at the same time has no harm or I'll effects, as long as they are applied.
