What are some examples of how culture influences caring for newborns and teaching parents about newborn care and characteristics?

Culture influences caring for newborns and teaching parents about newborn care and characteristics in many ways like feeding, pampering, making them asleep etc.

An example can be given as a scenario:

A and B are 2 mothers of 1 year old babies. A let her kid crawl and walk herself so that the baby itself learn self soothening, mechanism of walking and so on. She also consider this as an assistance for natural physical and cognition development of the baby. S he allows her kid to feed herself and does not bother about the mess created instead of which she allows her kid to learn self reliance through that. Where as mother B always cuddles with her baby boy and pamper him a lot without allowing him to crwal or walk; in a thought that babies need more attention, love and care. Mother B always feeds her son by herself as she thinks that it is better to avoid the mess that can be created when baby has his food by himself ae well as she argues this will feed him more.

Here, the opinions of the next mother always seems to be illogical for the other. This is a scenario where 2 people from 2 cultures are imaged to show that culture influences caring for a newborn

2.Describe and contrast stages I, II, and III of lactogenesis.

Lactogenesis is the developmental process to possess the ability to secrete milk by maturation of mammary alveoli.

Stage I- starts from birth of baby to 2-5 days. Milk production begins. Characterised by colostrum.

Stage II- begins from 2-5 days after birth. Starts forming large amounts of milk after parturition due to reduced

amount of progesterone.

Stage III- Begins at 10 days after giving birth and the hormones as well as milk flow become stabilised from this

stage.
