1. Stress is the physical, emotional which affects the cognitional and behavioral response of the people toward the event appraised as threatening or challenging. Whether stressors are the cause elements of stress. The stressor may be the person, events, thoughts from within of external source. Normally there are two types of stress, Eustress or Distress.
2. Coping is a dynamic process. This is the series of responses involving in our interaction to prevent from mental and physical health. The two most basic styles of coping are -
a. Approach (vigilant) coping - This is the strategy that directly confronts a stressor and attempts to find the solution. This is confrontational in the approach. It seeks to gather information regarding the appropriate action to kiss the cause of stress. For example, to avoid workplace stress one can find the appropriate action or training.
b. Avoidant (minimizing) coping -This is the strategy depending on the process involving to minimize, withdraw, and to avoid the situation and events causing the stress. For example, if someone is suffering from substance abuse, to avoid this he may use exercise or meditation.
