Metaparadigm
A metaparadigm is a set of ideas or theories that give the structure for how a discipline should work. In nursing discipline, these ideas or theories includes four fundamental concepts that consider the patient as a whole, patient's health and well-being, the patient's environment and the nursing responsibilities. Therefore there are 4 metaparadigms of nursing are present they are:
Person
Environment
Health
Health implies to the quality and wellness of the patient. It also includes access the patient has to health care.
Nursing
It is very important for the nurses to apply the knowledge of these four Metaparadigms to the nursing process when caring for patients in order to address patient care as a whole.
