What arguments can a project manager present to persuade business owners that this investment in non-functional software is beneficial? An investment in integrity controls is beneficial to the business as they perform the following functions:

• Detects malicious codes trying to attack the data of business.
• Protects vulnerabilities of the program by preventing them.
• They help in enforcing the data integrity objectives of a business.
• Can prevent unauthorised changes in the application/software code.

When an application's integrity is compromised, so is the business. Compared to developing a functional business software, an integrity contral system is quick to set up on an existing database or application.
