1.Xifaxan
Generic Name : Rifaximin
Drug classification :- derived from rifamycin, a naturally occurring chemical produced by a bacterium called Streptomyces Mediterranei
Action :- it is a semi-synthetic antibiotic used to treat travelers diarrhea and hepatic encephalopathy
Side effects :- Nausea, vomiting, constipation, daffiness, fatigue, headache, fever, flatulence, fluid edema.
Nursing Intervention:-
-Ask a woman whether they are pregnant.
-Advise pregnant woman of the potential risk of fetus.
-This drug should not be given less than 12Yrs of age.
-Xifaxan will make the patient hepatic impairment. Explain about the side effects.

2.Hydrocortisone
Generic Name: Cortef
Drug Classification:- Glucocorticoids
Action:- This is used for many people like allergic reaction, asthma, adrenal gland problem, blood problem, skin rashes or swelling problems.
Side effects:- peeling skin, upset stomach, dizziness, weight loss, low potassium, muscle pain, back pain, pancreatitis, high blood pressure, headache, weight gain, fast heartbeat, pimples, eye pain, seizures, joint pain.
Nursing Intervention:-
-Advise the patient to take medication with food.
-Advise not to miss the dose.
-Stop the medicine only with doctor advise and never share your medicine with anybody.

3.Quetiapine fumarate
Action:- it is used for patients with schizophrenia it is a extended-release tablet.it is indicated for the acute treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder.
Side effects:- Dizziness, drowsiness , tired feeling, increased weight gain, breast swelling or discharge, stomach upset, nausea, Vomiting, constipation, headache and trouble sleeping.
Nursing Intervention:-
-This medication must be started with low dose.
-Advise the patient not to breastfeed.
-Should avoid alcoholic beverages with this medicines.
-Advise not to exposure to overheating and dehydration.
-Advise the family to watch the patient carefully to avoid suicidal attempt.

4.Acetaminophen
Generic Name:- Acetaminophen
Drug Classification:- Analgesics and antipyretics
Side Effects:- Nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice.
Nursing Intervention:-
-Ask Patient about allergic reaction, liver disease or alcohol abuse.
-Explain about side effects
-Advise to take this medication with food.

5.Align (Probiotic product)
Generic Name:- Bifidobacterium Infantis
Action:- Probiotics contain different types of microorganisms such as yeast and bacteria. It improves digestion and restore normal flora and to treat bowel problems.
Side effects:- Increased stomach gas, high fever chills, persistent cough, Rash itching, severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
Nursing Intervention:-
-Tell the doctor if you have allergic reaction
-patient may have diarrhea, tell your doctor if it is persist for more than two days.

6.Flomax
Generic Name:- Tamsulosin
Drug Classification:- Alpha Blockers
Action:- It is used in the treatment of difficult urination, a common symptoms of enlarged prostate.
Side Effects:- Dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, runny nose, ejaculation problem, fainting.
Nursing Intervention :-
-tell about your allergic reaction.
-tell doctor if you have cataract and low blood pressure.
-don’t drive or do machinery work.
-limit alcohol

7.Aspirin
Generic Name :- Aspirin
Drug classification:- Non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
Action:- it is used to reduce fever and pain and it reduce swelling in arthritis condition.
Side effect :- Rash abdomen pain, stomach upset, heartburn, drowsiness, headache, cramping, nausea and vomiting.
Nursing Intervention:-
-tell doctor about your bleeding or blood clotting disorder.
-avoid alcohol and tobacco when use this medicine.
-stop smoking
-ask patient about if she is pregnant
-advise not to Breastfeed while taking this medication

8.Lisinopril
Generic name:- Lisinopril
Drug classification:- ACE inhibitors
Action:- to treat high blood pressure, prevent stroke, heart attacks and kidney problems to treat heart failure, it relaxes the blood vessels.
Side effect :- Dizziness, lightheadedness, tiredness, headache, dry cough.
Nursing Intervention:-
-Tell doctor about allergic reaction like swelling lip
-Avoid alcohol because this drug may cause dizzy.
-Advise not to breastfeed if they are pregnant
-Before surgery or dental procedure, tell your doctor about this product
