As anticipated physical activities appear significantly in sectors like manufacturing, retailing, accommodations & food service these are the most prone to automation on the basis of technical aspects alone. The feasibility of automation in such kind of activities is approximately 78 per cent.
Gathering & processing of data have a technical prospective for automation above 60 per cent.
Activities which incorporate managing / developing personnel (9 per cent automation potential) / those that employ expertise for planning or decision-making or creative work are difficult to automate . These activities, which are usually categorized as knowledge-based work, are as diverse as writing promotional matter/ coding software. The significance of human interaction is obvious in 2 sectors which, so far, have a comparatively low technical possibility for automation- education & healthcare.
