Answer. Is this possible that without motive we keep going? No, we always have a purpose to something and the energy comes form is motivation, now this motivation came from environment and inner sourced both, sometimes we learn thing because our inner motivation motivate as to learn and sometime outer motivation.
When we get motivated with the inner source like our happiness, making someone happy to feel better, etc is what we call Intrinsic motivation and when this energy is out sourced and contribution is given by someone from our surrounding is extrinsic motivation.
This both motivation have a similar impact both help an individual to get ready and achieve there goal and difference is there source in an intrinsic motivation always an individual inner feeling gives them motivation to do things where in extrinsic motivation it is comes from our environment.
