"Our educational system is reducing the intrinsic motivation to learn and replacing it with extrinsic motivation".
An argument for/ in fabour of the statement-
Yes, i feel that the above mentioned statement is true and this is because of the following reasons-
1- We are living in a so called developed world wherein tangible facets are given too much of importance.
2- Further, we tend to neglect, rather avoid the intangible facets allied with human existence because of the influence of tangibility.
3- The thirst after the materislistic and worldly pleasures which are basically perishable is the very first feature of the contemporary educational system.
4- The educational institutes focus on the industrial aspects and attempt to mould students in the manner of the industry requirements.
5- Therefore, the target/ competition oriented extrinsic motivational ways are being used and have become popular.
6- Cash, prizes, perks, recognition, an internship with fabulous stipend, promise of a job with handsome salary, including name of the student who performed well on the college website or in the magazines/ surveys etc are the extrinsic ways being used by educational institutions.
7- But, these cannot motibvate a person holistically and its effect shades away withing a small time.
8- On other hand, if students are motivated intrinsically, it will prove to be comparatively longer.
9- Intrinsic motivation will lead students to real, unique work satisfaction and make them more experimentative, innovative and creative.
10- The outcomes accomplished on the basis of intrinsic motivational facets tend to be perennial.
