I have always thought and enquired of my ancestors since I came to know that genetics influence is not limited to grand parents but much above in heirarchy of ancestors. They belonged to same culture which I belong , east Indian culture which have played an important role in shaping my attitude and developing a dynamic personality. This culture is so rich that after enquiring for years and experiencing it for years, Still many aspects of culture I have not able to understood. However , I believe as per whatever knowledge of culture I have that I am truly the product of this culture. Values like caring for parents and family , friends, and compassion for poor and marginalised, competitive values to excel in services and prohibition of smoking and drinking are few of many imprints my culture has left on me.
Mahatma Gandhi have Influenced the culture by bringing in values like non violence and truth . People who have embraced this culture in true sense , condemn any form of violence. He made people learn the values of tolerance and respect for every human. His service orientation are still visible in culture.
Raja Ram Mohan Roy was the one crusader who with the help of British fought against many dogmas of culture. He led to abolishment of satisfied where a widow had to embrace death even if it husband dies young. Moreover , there was huge discrimination against women and he brought some level of gender justice along with other crusader.
