How much should the average user know about, and have control of, the network services that his or her workstation uses?
Answer)
The users are the hosts on the network, which are the user
computers which are connected to the network and communicate with
another computer internal or external to the network using the
network such as an Internet. Hosts send or receive data using
services and applications. An average user should be well aware of
the type of network services he is connected with, types and all of
the information which is collected and recorded by the network
services, if the network services are secure and encrypted, and
thus the host should be aware and should have adequate knowledge
before he starts using the network services.
The host should not connect to an insecure connection, or unencrypted or unprotected connections as data thefts and privacy and confidentiality issues may occur. Thus the average user should know about and should be able to control the network services that his or her workstation uses up to an extent where he should be sure that he is safely and securely connected to the network.
