There are so many conflicts are there. I would like to discuss about the holidays are being given as per the client location wise. Just Imagine an employee working from India and the Client location is USA. In this case many times he has to go for vacation as per the US holiday or client location holiday calendar. Employee cannot enjoy his festival and public holiday given in India. All the family and friends having their good time together but an employee who works for the client located in other geographical areas has to be with the system and delivers the assigned work. I feel this is a serious issue. That all the company should be amend the holiday for local area first then with the client location too. I know client looks for the deliverables on time as we are paid for that still this can be addressed to client about the culture and value people not only treat like a machine and also humanities too. Another case many of the Multinational companies runs 24/7. In this case employee has to work Saturday and Sunday but they gets their week off in working days. Though I understand they also takes 2 days off unlike other MNC but still I feel there is issue when all are going for party or movie in the weekend, he/she cannot go as because he/she has to support on Sat and Sunday too. And some of time extra works beyond the normal working hours. If I talk about India, here there are huge number of IT companies are there. And Employees are working day and night but they still paid for 9 hours only. Rather executing the work with defined and designated resources along with the number of resources has to be allocated. But here it is always 2 persons has to complete the work of 5 person. So, it takes the huge time to complete the work. His/her personal life is getting impacted on this. Sometimes it becomes huge trauma and suicidal case were seen because of this. All the Organization should be guided by the Company Act. But it just looks good on the paper. No Company follow the same. Government involvement is very less in India if I talk about the Private companies. Government has to be focused more with guidelines are being set up. Just imagine Covid-19 time is very critical still some of the companies doesn’t allow the basic flexibility needed by an employee from the safety point of view. Some of the organization deducted their salary and terminates the employee which is completely unethical practices. Here Government has announced irrespective no termination and salary stop even though MNC are doing like the way they want to do including no variable pay, salary cut etc.
