Evidence-based practice (EBP) is an important topic in healthcare organizations. How do you think you could apply EBP in your current nursing practice? Please provide examples.

Evidence based practice solidly depends on reaserch(previous stastics that were obtained)and to use that reaserch and evidences to give high quality care and safety.

-Hospital acquired infections were common problem mostly encountered in the present scenerio and it was most doubtful and trouble causer for an admitted patient.Although nurses are busy with many responsibilities they have to play a key role in preventing illness before it comes in to full picture by following evidence based infection-control policies(previous evidence based data) by maintaing clean and sterile environment.

-measuring blood pressure in kids was so different compared to adults.measuring blood pressure simply doesnot give fruitful result in children,evidence based practice approach involoves measuring by ausculatory method then comparing with oscillometric method previous data that was gathered in past.

-while using intravenous catheters to deliver blood for packed RBC,evidence based evidence suggests use of smaller-gauge catheter,which increases patient comfort rather than using normal gauzed catheter.
