I'll try to explain how that is.

1. Environmental problems

Wireless data communication is affected a lot by environment and not just its problems. Trees, buildings and even the kind of walls you have in a building are a common source of interference for the signals. Floods, lightning and other environmental problems make it very difficult because of electrical interference or weakening of signals.

2. Line of sight between transmitters

This is a problem with a few of wireless communications. Such as microwave transmission which requires a line of sight to be maintained between the transmitters.

3. Security is obviously less compared to wired communication systems

That is because you're transmitting to an open channel which can be accessed by anyone unless it is encrypted. For example: for radio communication, you are broadcasting to a frequency and thus it can be heard by anyone listening in on that frequency.

4. Higher error rates

Again this is because of different problems which are more prominent in wireless communication like interference, attenuation, distortion because of noise, environment and many other factors.
