The types of interviews are listed below
1. Unstructured interviews:
Those are interviews with few, if any, questions from the investigator. We frequently proceed in the way a typical discussion should, but it involves the subject of the study under review. Researchers use it as a fairly formless interview style to develop relationships and familiarity with the subject, and it is extremely helpful when researchers explore sensitive topics. In order to get the most rich and in-depth knowledge possible, the researcher is required to question participants.
2. Semi structured interviews:
They are interviews using an interview procedure to help direct the interviewer through the course of an interview. Although this can involve elements of communication, it is mainly a controlled interaction between the researcher and the participant. This retains a certain framework (hence the term semistructured), but it also allows the researcher to check the subject for more information.
3.Structured interviews:
Those are interviews that strictly adhere to the researcher's use of an interview protocol. This is a more formal type of interview, in that only questions are answered on the interview protocol. As a result, there are not many opportunities to examine and further discuss subjects that participants pose when answering questions from the interview. This approach can be helpful if researchers have a detailed list of interview questions, because it helps address the particular phenomenon or experience studied by the researcher.
