SOLUTION
SWOT ANALYSIS BE USED TO IDENTIFY AREAS OF OPPORTUNITIES AND IMPROVEMENT
OPPORTUNITIES
A SWOT analysis can help you identify opportunities that your business could take advantage of to make greater profits. Opportunities are created by external factors, such as new customer trends and changes in the market.
Conducting a SWOT analysis will help you understand the internal factors ( your business's strengths and weakness ) that will influence your ability to take advantage of a new opportunity. If your business doesn't have the capability to seize an opportunity but decides to anyway, it could be damaging . Similarly, if you do have the capability to seize an opportunity and don't it could also be damaging
IMPROVEMENTS
Change is very significant word in business. Modern business is defined as the most competitive and active. To survive in the modern competitive business environment, the organisations should adopt and improve their strategies to meet the changing demands and needs of the customers. SWOT analysis is the most significant business strategies which help the organisations to improve their current situation both internally and externally and to implement a new strategy where necessary.
However, improving a business enables an organisation to compete with its rivals and win the business positions. Business organisations, particularly fashion, clothing, perfumed, mobile companies, technological instruments consider change as the most vital part of business strategy.

EXAMPLES
Bryan Weaver, a partner at Scholefield was heavily involved in creating a SWOT analysis for his firm. He provided a business news daily with a SWOT analysis template and the example was used in the firms decision to expand its practise to include dispute mediation services. His SWOT matrix include the following
STRENGTHS
Construction law firm with staff members who are trained in both law and professional engineering / general contractor. Their experience gives a unique advantage. Small (three employees ) - can change and adopt quickly
WEAKNESS
No one has been mediator before or been through any formal mediation training programs. One staff member has been a part of mediations but not a neutral party
OPPORTUNITIES
Most commercial contraction contracts require mediation. Despite hundreds of mediations in the marketplace , only a few have actual construction experience. For smaller disputes, mediators don't work as a team, only as individuals, Scholefield staff can offer anyone the advantage of a group of disputes to evaluate
THREATS
Anyone can become a mediator so, other construction law firms could open up their own mediation service as well. Most potential clients have a negative impression of mediation, because they feel mediators don't understand or care to understand the problem and rush to resolve it.
