Causes of violence at workplace:

  • When employer fails to check the background and past of employee they inviting risk to their workplace as candidate can have criminal background and violent past. Employer taking risk by not checking he background and checking on reference of candidate.
  • Sometime people cannot handle too much stress and could lose their temper over such issues when in stressed and could commit such violent acts that can harm anyone at workplace. Overworking employee can be prone to stress and could be violent at workplace.
  • Employee who have feeling that company had done something bad with him can take revenge from company by harming personnel and employee at workplace.

How to prevent violence at workplace:

  • Employer should have to check on background and reference check should have done to new candidates.
  • Employer should have to provide employee assistant program so that employee can relieve from workload and stress.
