Project Title: Planned maintenance of robotic machine lines in Steel Fabrication plant.

Steps for Project manager:

· Step-1: Collect a machine utilization plan from Production planning and Control (PPC) department. This plan is essential to know the availability of Machine for preventive maintenance.

· Step-2a: Schedule the plan for the available machines in spreadsheet.

· Step-2b: Schedule the maintenance equipment and tools like Lubrication oil, Grease, Spanners, Screw driver, machine manual etc.

· Step-2c: Scheduling of skilled and semi-skilled manpower.

· Step-5: Sending the schedule plan for approval to Plant manager.

· Step-6: Upon approval publish the plan to Maintenance, PPC, Quality control and other concerning departments including spare part stores.

· Step-7: Ready for the activities.

Gantt chart: For two weeks: The purpose of Gantt chart is to organize and visually display the actual inteneded of resources in time frame work. In the below case, the maintenance is carrying out without affecting production. By the Gantt chart, we can see the Machine is available for 3 days in Maintenance but skill workers are only available for 2 days. So, the machine maintenance should be carried out in 2 days. Suppose, if spare parts are not available, we can go for machine maintenance and we can request PPC department to schedule the production if they needed by giving a tentative date of maintenance upon arriving of desired spare parts.
