SLO2- Understand how factors in the social structure, such as the economy, public policy, religion, and education influence patterns and changes in marriage, families, and relationships.

For this question students will choose and discuss TWO factors in the social structure and their influence. The basics for this are touched upon in chapter one but every chapter from CH3 – CH14 discusses various factors in the social structure and the influence they have so students will need to choose, be specific, and focus on the detail for one example of influence/change per factor.

Choose a factor in the social structure, define it in your own words, then explain using an example, a specific way that this factor has influenced patterns and/or changes in either marriage, families, or relationships. Detail and terminology are expected.

Answer.

1.Cultural Factor:

There is a personal association between our beliefs and social institutions, our values and social relationships. Values, beliefs, thoughts, institutions are the essential components of a culture. Unquestionably, all cultural changes include social change.

Social and the cultural perspectives are firmly interlaced. Hence, any change in the culture (thoughts, values, beliefs and so forth.) acquires a comparing change the entire social request. Social institutions can't live on life shells inside which life is wiped out.

Social frameworks are specifically or in a roundabout way the manifestations of cultural values. The historical backdrop of culture offers numerous confirmations which affirm the part of culture. A religious teaching, which continued with varieties all through numerous hundreds of years, has influenced the course of society. For example, a specific state of mind toward sex planned by the Church Fathers in the early Middle Ages still hold great in the Catholic order.

2. Monetary Factor:

Of monetary impacts, the most broad is the effect of industrialisation. It has reformed the entire lifestyle, institutions, associations and group life. In conventional generation frameworks, levels of creation were genuinely static since they were equipped to routine, standard needs. Modern industrial capitalism advances the consistent update of the innovation of creation, a procedure into which science is progressively drawn.

The effect of industrialisation (science and innovation) we can without much of a stretch see on Indian family framework (joint family) and position framework.
