Three component of the criminal justice system-

1- Law enforcement- This component is most important. It includes local police forces such as police officers, FBI etc. These people are responsible for recognizing and capturing the criminals. They are also responsible to bring the charges for breaking the rules, and to ensure that the case is strong enough to fight in the court.

2- Courts- This includes the attorneys, judges, defense lawyers and so on. They are responsible to decide the appropriate sentence for the criminals according to the crime.

3- Corrections- This branch is responsible to get ensure that the criminal is punished according to the order of the court. This includes jail, correctional officers, probation officers and so on.

  • Law enforcement is most in need of the most comprehensive overall at this time. They provide protection to the common people. They continuously interact with common people and they are able to contact with those people who have completed their punishment and went back to home. Therefore it is important for police that they get better training and facilities for the betterment in criminal justice system.
