It consists of the strategies chosen by the state considering interactions with foreign countries. If two states shares the same political interests then they can work together to meet achieve their interest since no conflict.

The idea that a country's foreign policy decisions are based on factors beyond self interst,including upholding important priciples or values is what refers to idealism. States concert extends  beyond increasing their power, including freedom or democracy. Upholding this principle should be a primary goal of USA foreign policy.

Foreign policy decisions are generally driven by the conceptions of natural interest. It serves the national interest of the united states to pursue human right goals because they advance our security interest, inturn helps tk establish a world order based on the aspirations of people and on the rule of law, are geopolitically advantageous by furthering peaceful evolutionary democratization of statesand command popular support as they reflect fundamental values of American peoples.

A nation's self interest consists of the interests of its citizens. There is giving a respect for fundamental social values that is in everyone's interest, what is called individual freedom. The ultimate goal of the foreign policy should lies within the freedom of its pupil. A foreign policy based on self interest, therefore embraces free trade with everyone, allow all to seek out the best product at the lowest price, which is incidentally how the entire society prospers.
