With old age comes retirement. It is one of the most difficult decisions to make. An individual who has been in a routine of going to work for certain hours, for over a minimum of 35-45 years of their life, suddenly has to stay back home due to them retiring. It can be quite devastating for anybody. However, retirement can be planned in advance.

One of the most important factors that should be considered for one's retirement is, living in their own house and not moving to assisted homes. One can only let their job go but not their house which they have lived in for years. They could also consider the option of House Sharing.

House sharing includes inviting individuals to be your housemates. They not only share your residence and space with you, but as well pitch in for the expenses associated with maintaining and running your house. They could take in more than one person as their housemate. It can be as many number of people as they can accommodate at that time. They not only share expenses with them but also allocate chores among each other and the work is divided among all the residents. House sharing could also be a great way to keep them company in old age. They would not get lonely and sad. There would be somebody to take care of them and keep them company most of the times and their expenses to maintain the property would be sorted as well.

They could also try their hand at gardening in their backyard after retirement. Grow organic produce and sell it to the local Farmer's market. They would not only earn a little money but also would be satisfied about utilizing their time judiciously.
