Name the three foreign policy goals that the United States pursues. Discuss the relative importance of each goal. If you had to stress one, which would it be?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Foreign policy goals by the US

  • Security
  • Prosperity
  • Spreading American Values

Security

Security goals to protect each and every citizen of America from the dangers within the nation and outside the US i.e. foreign threats. And maintaining the peace by emphasizing on the security of the nation.

Prosperity

Aiming for a stable economy, a high standard of living for its citizens, and efficiently controlling the monetary value. Keeping a check on the inflation or the deflation of the currency. Economic growth and development.

Self-interest or spreading American's value

Educating people about the ideals and values of America. Always remember the roots of the nation.

If I have to point out one goal that is very important it will be security.

Because with the industrialization and technology advancement, new kinds of threats have also emerged. Destructive bombs and weapons that can kill masses in just a few seconds.

Therefore, focusing on security is very crucial in these times. And the developed nations are also fighting for global power so the security is really at the risks.

And above all, the terrorists are also equipping themselves with deadly weapons to conduct their heinous deeds.
