A steel ruler (100 mm) is used for measuring the length of a block. The ambient temperature is found likely to vary in between 24 °C and 25 °C. The temperature is likely to be anywhere within these limits. The temperature variation follows square distribution, with expected value to be 24.5 °C. Determine the degree of uncertainty that will be registered when measurement is done using steel scale? CTE = 11.5 x 10-6 / °C
I have solved problem using concept of thermal expansion and measurements. Each concept and step with proper reason is explained.Go through complete solution step by step and if u find it helpful then hit thumbs up and share feedback. Thanks
