How does the medial impact norms in our society? How have you personally witnessed changes in our society that have been influenced by the media?

• Media have both positive and negative impacts on society.Through media, we learn alot of things like our culture, our values, new trends and alot more. It influences our mind by the use of hegemony. It gives us a clear message about society. On the other hand, media is giving negative impressions on our youth about serious issues.
• Adult content is being shown on media which is badly affecting our child. When media tries to create awareness about some serious issues through movies etc, people get wrong idea from it. People are trying to copy the lives of their favorite characters and get badly affected.
• Some people are so addicted to media that they have no time to do other tasks. Everyone is busy on mobile phones or on internet and have no time to talk to each other. Media is definitely changing our culture and our norms.
• People no longer want to spend time researching to form their opinions. They depend on the media to form their opinions.Unfortunately, instead of just reporting the facts the news channel twist and project their own opinions thus influencing the society at large.
• Through the use of various social media platforms,political leaders are influencing the young youth by putting across provocative communal messages,which is widening the religious discriminations in the society. All around the world it can be seen how young unemployed is being targeted to endorse these fake communal messages.
• For example,at present Indian media is a story teller that is trying to sway the readers and listeners by creating opinion. Traditionally Media's only role was to report the news and not create opinion. The very way the story is told stirs the emotion towards what they want.
  
• Being the youth, they tend to be extremely impressionable and they make changes in their lives based on what they see shared on Facebook and Instagram. This leads to a huge loss in the inherent culture of a nation. This loss in culture is evident in the way we speak, the way we dress, the values we adopt, our responses to situations, the choices we make, our hobbies & interests, the movies we produce, and the music we listen to.
• On the positive side,for sure the culture has been renewed, as we know numerous sites are there which are keeping us updated so that we could stand for the right and March for the ill.It has awakened the majority of youth culture. Talking about women, girls and their rights. They have been undoubtedly been beniffited through this.Being it domestic or global, social media has changed the thinking of billions of people. People now are much aware for themselves and their family as proper information is being given on safety.
