The society is constantly changing and evolving thus changing the norms, values and culture of the society. It has changed in many aspects such as gender equality, racial equality, increased social security etc. Media has played a major role in changing the norms and values in the society over a period of time. Media influences almost everyone at some point of time. The impacts could be seen in the cultural changes, political decision making buying behavior of the consumers etc. Popular culture, as they are called kept introducing new norms into the society such as girls smoking, drinking etc. to promote women freedom, impacts of racial stereotyping, fun life in the college etc. are popularized by media. I have witnessed how the media influence how people behave with others. Celebrities promote certain kinds of attitude, behavior and dressing. I have seen some of my friends started acting and dressing like a particular celebrity. So this imitation from the popular culture is one of the most important one. I have also witnessed the change social media has brought on people by uniting them for good causes.
