Culture can be adversely and positively affected; thus digital technologies will have the same effect on our standards and characteristics. There are several ways in which new media technologies have promoted our culture. However, with today's media advances, our culture's future is uncertain as children grow up admiring the people they see in films and music videos. And if that isn't unfortunate enough, teenage mothers prefer to call after their beloved screen stars or actors, their sons and daughters.
Aside from putting on titles, children spend more time playing games on machines than they do spending meaningful time learning about culture with their parents. The easiest way for a child to learn about society is by the tales told by the elderly. Any of them might be myths but they have a significant effect on the lives of a child
The social media has grown industry and marketing globally. Citizens enjoy buying items online. Social media has provided an opportunity to widen the universe and attract new friends from outside the universe. Learning about breaking social media stories is better, as it has unrestricted exposure and versatility. On the other hand, the social media have negatively influenced our culture. People on social media will post anything they want and some of them might be offensive images. People are becoming more conservative about each other's viewpoint. People began to argue about the perspective of each other in relation to political view, religion , social rights and culture.

Social media has also had a negative impact on teens. Any sites where there is improper content may influence and exploit children. The ugly part of social media is that tons of unnecessary information is shared by people, and it has also increased bullying and harassment on social media.
