Sexual reproduction is more important for evolution because in sexual reproduction recombination of information (genetic) occurs randomly. It increases opportunity for generating some offspring that may survive in the different unpredictable environment.

In sexual reproduction alternation of two states, 1.haploid and 2.diploid state occur.

After meiosis diploid cell divides and forms haploid call. Than haploid cells of male and female individual fuse to make the pair in the process of fertilization.

Sexual reproduction is more important than asexual reproduction because genetic mutations and variation occur in sexual reproduction due to meiosis.

That is why most of the complex organism reproduces sexually.
