Expert Solution

Perception varies from people to people. This happens on the basis of the amount of attention they pay, what they are motivated to perceive and how adapted their senses are to things.

Attention: Perception is highly dependent on the amount of Attention given. To well understand the working and core of the subject to be perceived, one should be very attentive towards it. If a person does not know what he wishes to perceive, he may land on wobbly conclusions, that being an example of poor Perception. Whereas, being focused and attentive makes a person grow better judgments.

Motivation: Motivation with respect to Perception may be explained as the pre-existing inclination towards a particular outcome or wanting the outcome to be what a person just wants it to be and not approaching neutrally to the process. This can lead to a very pood a result.

Motivation can also be said to be the interest in perceiving a particular subject. This, on the other hand, can make the approach even more focused and attentive for the benefit of a better result of Perception.

Sensory Adaptation: It is the process of getting acquainted with a situation, a pattern, or a behavior. This can be of advantage or disadvantage based on how it is being used in the process of Perception. After being acquainted with something, a person may know what it is and can see more of what is to be seen. On the other hand, being acquainted can also deceive people to not allowing them to see through a situation or notice the bigger picture.
