Asexually reproducing population will grow at twice the rate as sexually reproducing population means sexually reproducing population must produce both sexes but only half of them give birth to offspring whereas in asexual reproduction all offspring of an individual give birth that is two fold cost of sex.

Many lineages are sexually reproducing due to advantage of sexual reproduction over asexual. Due to sexual reproduction individual develop defence against the unpredictable threat because presence of genetic variability. Individual have best gene combination which made it superior individual. Asexual reproduction have advantageous allele combination only in the case of mutation but individual with sexual reproduction gain it in every generation due to recombination.

Due to these reason we can understand that sex is always well worth its two fold cost.
