Ans:- Yes, I agree. The posiion of strong AI is an appropriately programmed computer mind, in the sense that it can understand.  

According to some philosophers the strong AI is possible. However, many would add some caveats, and there are a number who would reject the possibility as being far-fetched and implausible.

Some objection form weak AI are as follows:-

1) John Searle suggests that simulation isn't the same as being. You can simulate an aeroplane flying, but if your simulated aircraft crashes then nobody gets killed. You can simulate thinking as accurately as you like, but if your simulated intelligence is insulted, nobody's feelings are hurt.

2) Searle also suggests that thinking is something that brains do, and so any real thinking we make would need to be pretty wet and organic.Intelligence itself is not a very handy concept to aim for - does it really work for non-animals.

3) Some Wittgensteinians may well hold that thinking is a part of our complex form of life, and is not amenable to separation from it. Obviously, dualists (though small in number) would have a pretty dim view of the possibility of mechanical AI.
