Why are folks attracted to risk? Think about this question from both a physical and psychological perspective.

Risk as a factor can be thought of as providing a sense of excitement when we consider its physical and psychological implication. We can say that the fact that risks involve a deeper sense of achievement can be thought of as the tradeoff that we have to consider whenever we are taking risks. Psychologically, it is hard to separate the risk based on its level and merits but it has a different meaning when we can quantify the data and empirically utilize its values. For individuals, risk has an associated value of a sense of adventure, a rush(Just like adrenaline, the fight or flight hormone) and in some cases, it helps to keep people in their toes and sharp throughout the process. We can say there are a number of negative effects of being introduced to such factors but the fact remains that the greatest rewards are achieved by the people that take the greatest risks. Based on these factors, we can say that since it takes into account a number of different factors, have a greater sense of involvement, having an intimate nature as well as a sense of challenge to both the physical and mental dexterity of the individuals and have greater associated rewards, we can say that “Folks are attracted to risks.”
