I think that both - nature and nurture are essentially important for development. These are important because nature is the materialist object (body) that acts as the basic and minimum required entity for further growth. Whereas the growth in its fullest can only happen with the help of the nurturing and enriched environment consisting of good people, necessary services, socioemotional support, and other privileges. Nature makes the person able to think, speak, sense, exist and sustain the basic needs and life demands whereas good nurture enhances these characteristics and makes the person expert and fully functioning. Nurture gives a person beyond his basic capacities that are provided by nature. However, without nature, nurture has no impact on the person's life. Therefore, both are important.
