The topic you are to speak on is "How each of you can use management by objectives for better planning and control." What will you tell them and why?
Answer:
You first need to understand why planing is necessary in order to use goals to achieve better planning and control. If planning is done well, a strong forum for other management functions can be developed. Planning can also aid in the organisation, management and control. It decides where you want to go with a plan in place and what is the best option to achieve it. Planning also provides a sense of control through success assessment and corrective action.
Planning is very important, but the best result can be achieved through the planning process. The planning process consists of 5 stages, describing the goals, determining where you are in relation to objectives, creating potential requirements for premises, reviewing alternatives and drawing up plans, executing the plan and assessing outcomes. Step one is probably the main step in the process: define your goals. In this step, the desired results or results must be determined in a specific manner. You have to know where to go and be precise enough to know that when you get there you achieved your target. You created a goal for yourself and what you want to achieve essentially in this respect. You can then manipulate the outcome further by considering all the potential outcomes and considering the alternatives to keep you on track.
