Put yourself back in the late 1780s, and argue whether you would have supported keeping the Articles of Confederation, or whether you would have supported replacing it with the Constitution. Make sure to explain why.
Constitution is much better than Articles of Federation. I would have definitely support to replace the Articles of Federation with Constitution.
Basically, there were several weakness for Articles of Confederation. The government which was created by the Articles of Confederation provides high power and authority to the States so that these states have a power more than the power of the Federal Government. The people of 1777 were afraid of making a strong government. Due to this afraidness, the Congress party created by the Articles of Confederation was unable to enforce the relevant treaties. Also, they don't have the ability to collect taxes from the States which was the main source of income to make payment to the soldiers, who were at that time, participating in the Revolutionary War.
Another problem was the absence of a Federal Court. As there were no courts, States don't have a higher authority to obey and they never enforce any federal laws. In addition to that, these States started to make money for the state itself and utilized to buy things from other states. This had created several problems.
But, while coming to the case of Constitution, it created a powerful and stronger government than that of the Articles of Confederation. Here, more authority was in the hands of the Government rather than the States. Constitution brings Federalism and delegated the authorities of the said States as well as the Government.
As the Government existed during Articles of Confederation weren't strong, Constitution creates three branches with checks and balances. Only the Federal Government can make money during Federalism. But both the States as well as Government can collect taxes. Also, executive and judicial branches came into force so as to enforce the Federal Laws.
Hence, due to the above reasons as well as power of the government more than the States, strongly believe and support Constitution much more than Articles of Confederation.
