The contract management process is comprised of three common phases. The 3 phases are the pre-award phase, award phase and post-award phase.
Of the three phases, is there one that is more important than the others?
Pre-award stage is the beginning stage of the contract management process. In this stage planning of the projects, sales, requirements for the projects, new systems which should be introduced in the project and market search will be carried out. Award stage is the stage of the contract management process. In this stage negotiations regarding the proposals and sellers will be selected according to the market. Post-award stage is the third stage of the contract management process. In this stage agreed projects will be closed, execution of the projects and financial settlements will be completed.
According to my point of view, pre-award stage was the important stage than the other stages because in this stage crucial elements for the contract will be discussed for the success. New relationship will builds the strong foundation for the contract. Decisions which are made in this stage will be reflected on the other stages. Market research decisions will also be taken in this stage. Budget that which requires for the every stage of the contact will be decided because this plays a key role in the success of the contract.
