In my opinion the Lowe's Company Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Robert A. Niblock has great leadership qualities and devoted to improve their employee’s health, productivity and quality of life by creating a healthier work force and work environment. The company has done this by introducing some innovative employee benefits plans for the employees and encouraged long term association with them. He places a great emphasis on developing superior human capital.
The kind of leadership, the CEO of the Lowe's Company exhibit is transformational leadership where the leader creates an innovative vision and his further actions are driven by that vision and motivates to their followers. The main idea behind a transformational leadership is that they are innovative, knowledgeable, possess great personality and personal appeal, have high energy level, committed to their vision and have high risk taking abilities for their unique strategies which helps the company to develop and sustain competitive advantages.
Another example is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Google Inc.; Sundar Pichai is a transformational leader who is more ethical in his approach while dealing with human capital because of his democratic way of functioning. He places a great emphasis on developing superior human capital by his approach to collaboration and retention. He is the role model for the employees of the organization and encourages them to follow the standard policies and procedures and promote an ethical work culture in the organization. He has an innovative approach, accomplished and possesses great personality and personal appeal with high energy level and extreme commitment towards the vision of the company.
