Think about someone that you admire. What are some of their personal ethics? Where do you think they developed those? How could those be applied in the workplace?
Greta Thunberg
She has been vocal about issues that affect her and most important she has a purpose in life . The purpose of mitigating climate change has been in the economy for several years but gained impetus with her speech and emotions(empathy and respect). She personalized the issue and made each individual all around the world feel the pain and suffering as she spoke with complete honesty. The gift of communication and connecting with one and all is not taught but inbuilt and developed. She has faced various obstacles and opposition but she has kept her head high and answered back to all her critics(self-respect).
She would have developed it through her family values and also societal values. She at such a tender age has been able to demarcate the good and the bad along with inducing us with some big questions.
It is very important to have purpose in life that is to do a job we want to and not just any job. This would automatically induce self-respect, happiness, and loyalty. It is very important to respect the workplace and to have complete honesty among you and the colleagues as growth happens through trust and that develops through honesty. Therefore the companies hold picnics, outings, training which acts as a team-building exercise. It is important to be vocal about the issue in the workplace or else it can hamper your work, hence firms having open forums or times where the HR has a one to one session so as to delve into the work and environment around the work.
