Individuals go through drastic changes during their adolescence. While many of us are able to adapt and adjust to the new changes within our body and the environment, many people fail to do so. The ability to adapt to the new circumstances is known as adolescence adjustment. Individuals are provided with new options and opportunities during the age of adolescence, many of the individuals choose to try out possible ways to explore their adolescence and their new body. If we look at the different developmental theories we can interpret that if a person is not able to complete the previous milestones in particular periods of time in their childhood then they are somewhat stuck at their milestones and are not able to adjust as efficiently as others which can be very problematic for many of the individuals. People may find themselves travelling with changes in many dimensions such as physical changes, cognitive changes, socioemotional changes and behavioral changes. One important factor of adolescence adjustment is the peer group involvement and parenting styles involved in bringing up a child as they may have an important impact on the abilities of a particular individual to deal with the environment.
